Next Wave Academy (NWA) is a Cognia accredited, forward-thinking school serving students in grades 6-10, with plans to expand to 11th-12th grades in each coming years. Our secret sauce is our culture. We believe that every child deserves a safe space to be themselves without the worry of being bullied or stifled, while keeping their innocence safe and held sacred. We believe every child has a genius, a reason for being here. Our goal is that by the time they leave us they know who they are, and what they are here on this planet to do. We empower students by filling in the gaps of learning, while blending core academics with essential life skills, emotional intelligence, creativity, and entrepreneurship. At NWA, students engage in hands-on learning experiences tailored to their passions and strengths, preparing them for both future educational success and life beyond the classroom.

At Next Wave Academy, we believe every child deserves more than what our industry calls a “standard education”. Children aren’t standard. They are uniquely designed and forever evolving. Academic Programs
Using a blend of digital and experiential learning, NWA provides a customized academic journey.
Core Studies
Core subjects, completed through hands-on, experiential and project-based learning, ensuring each student masters essential knowledge. We accommodate all different levels of learners, while providing ample space for extra learning and catch up for any gaps.
Creative and Nature-Based Electives
Visual Arts, Digital Media, Music, Improv, and Lyrical Expression enhance self-expression and Mindfulness. Our Agriculture program and gardening classes teach students about ecological leadership and how to rely and honor the land.
Entrepreneurship
Real-world projects in business, student-run businesses and leadership skills prepare students for future opportunities. As Entrepreneurs we have learned the power of self-reliance and making something out of nothing.
Life Skills
Every quarter we offer a different life skills class. Some of our past favorites are: Home Economics, Small Engine Auto Shop, Professional Skills, Conflict Resolution and Relational Skills. We blend this with our mandatory class on Emotional Intelligence which in turn supports holistic growth.
